The DynamicOrgan^® 2-Channel Kit precious includes all the consumables required to build organ models that replicate epithelial and endothelial interfaces between tissue compartments of in vitro lung, liver, or gut models:

KIT vs. SYSTEM
You can choose between Kits and Systems, where the kit only includes the consumables, and the system also includes a peristaltic pump.

SIZE (S, M, L)
There are different sizes available, indicating the number of included biochips:

S: 10x 2-channel biochips
M: 25x 2-channel biochips
L: 50x 2-channel biochips

PORE SIZES
For each size, you can choose between four different pore sizes of the PET membrane of the biochip: 0.4 µm, 3.0 µm, 5.0 µm, and 8.0 µm.

GLASS BOTTOM
The chip is also available with a glass bottom option.

THE BIOCHIP

The 2-channel biochip features a single porous membrane, dividing the culture chamber into a top channel (65 µL) and a bottom channel (55 µL), both of which are accessible via standardized Luer ports. Cell suspensions, coatings, and gels can be introduced into each channel, enabling the creation of cell layers on both sides of the porous membrane. The separation of the channels allows the use of different media with individual flow rates per channel. There are two test cavities per biochip.

The biochip has microscope slide format for easy visualization under the microscope.

APPLICATIONS

The organ-on-a-chip model has a wide application range and can, for example, be used as tissue barrier model, for drug safety profiling, for antibody safety and target profiling, and for disease and infection modelling. The 2-channel biochip allows you to create different immunocompetent organ models, such as liver-on-chip, gut-on-chip, or lung-on-chip.
